Arrival 

After clearing customs, our guide will meet us in the International Arrival Terminal and transport us to our accommodation.

Day 1: Bangkok

Evening Food Tour by Tuk Tuk

​

Experience the fun of riding around in a

Tuk Tuk to discover Bangkok’s magical atmosphere at

night. Visit famous local eateries around the city sampling the local street foods and go behind the scenes to see how it's made. You will sample about 7 Thai dishes & drinks!

​

We will be dropped off in one of Bangkok's lively Night Markets.

Grand Palace & Wat Po

The Grand Palace is the must see attraction in Bangkok. It is an architectural wonder of golden stupas, walls and pillars encrusted in shining and colourful mosaics and mural paintings. Previously the residence of past Kings of Thailand, you will see palaces once used for different occasions.

​

Equally spectacular, one of the largest temple complexes in the city and home to a colossal reclining Buddha that is 46 meters long, covered in gold leaf.  The temple garden contains a Bodhi tree grown from a cutting of an original tree in India under which the Lord Buddha sat while awaiting enlightenment.

​

Lunch is included.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market &

Railway Market

Start the morning early with a visit to the Railway Market and witness the train running through the heart of the market while vendors begin to move their goods away from the tracks.  

​

There are countless floating markets throughout Thailand, but the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is the most famous!  Take a long tail boat ride through the canals and witness the local communities along the riverbank.

​

You will also make a short stop at a local coconut farm and see how different products are produced - including

coconut palm sugar.

FREE DAY

The day is yours to check out anything that isn't on the itinerary that you are interested in seeing/doing.  Maybe go to one of Bangkok's tailors for custom garments.  Or the jewelry market.  Or check out the Louis Vuitton Cafe?

 

Maybe do a 1-day trip to Phuket to visit the Phi Phi islands?

​

Or simply chill at the pool.

 

It's all up to you!

Head to Chiang Mai

Today we will check out of our Bangkok hotel and head to the airport for our flight to Chiang Mai - located in northern Thailand.

​

After checking into our accomodation, the afternoon is yours.

 

 The evening belongs to the Night Market for food & drinks.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival

This afternoon we will travel to the Yi Peng Lantern Festival.  This is a yearly celebration which represents resisting the darkness and welcoming a brighter future. 

 

The meaning of the Yi Peng lantern release is to let go of bad luck as you get your lantern into the sky.

​

Prior to releasing your lantern, enjoy a buffet dinner, fireworks, a craft & art zone, various vendors, and more.

​

Each individual will receive 2 lanterns and 1 Kratong

for release.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

A drive up the mountain will take you to the 600 year-old

Wat Pra That Doi Suthep, and take in beautiful view over the city of Chiang Mai.

​

Also, admire the copper-plated chedi that is topped by a five-tier gold umbrella which contain partial relics of Lord Buddha.

​

Optional Afternoon Activity:  Trip to Tiger Kingdom where you can interact with tigers of various sizes.

Patara Elephant Day Care & ATV Countryside Adventure

The Elephant Day Care program is a unique experience that will introduce you to techniques used to care for elephants.  The emphases is on the care and well-being of the elephants.  Activities will include feeding, walking with and washing the elephants.  This experience does not include riding any elephants.

​

After lunch, let's go off the beaten track to see the best of Chiang Mai's rural landscape on a Quad bike.  We will travel along bumpy off-road trails, narrow rugged paths and through lush jungle.  As we travel along the trails, our guide will point out places of interest and give an insight into the tropical flora and fauna of the area.
